The Russian President Vladimir Putin was told about the current status of development of all-season resorts Arkhyz and Elbrus created under control of Joint-Stock Company Northern Caucasus Resorts. During the meeting with the members of the Russian Government on which the priority tasks of social and economic development of the country for 2017 were discussed, Lev Kuznetsov, the Minister of the Russian Federation for North Caucasus Affairs, gave a report.

Alexander Khloponin, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation, proposed to the Russian people to visit the ski resorts of the North Caucasus. He stated this on the air of Russia-24 TV channel calling tourism as one of two perspective branches of economic activities in the region.

The meeting of the discussion club “The North Caucasus - the Territory of Development” on the topic “Arkhyz or Courchevel: Which Mountains Are Cooler?” dedicated to the perspectives and potential for development of the Russian ski resorts took place at the press center of the Federal Information Agency TASS supported by the Ministry of the Russian Federation for North Caucasus Affairs.

The Minister of the Russian Federation for North Caucasus Affairs Lev Kuznetsov in the course of his working trip evaluated the preparation of Arkhyz ATRC to mountain skiing season 2016/2017.

The reformed Ski Industry Union was presented to the market participants at the International Sports Forum “Russia — Country of Sports” within the round table “Arrangement of Conditions for Integrated Development of Ski Industry in Russia”.

A hotel of the international hotel chain Holiday Inn, managed by the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), will be set up in Arkhyz ATRC.
