One of the priority areas of activity of JSC NCR is the creation of a modern tourism and recreation infrastructure of special economic zones in the North Caucasus Federal District, and, as a result, the increase of investment attractiveness of the NCFD for both Russian and foreign investors.
The Company has built and put into operation 41 facilities of engineering and ski infrastructure, including ski slopes and ski lifts, snowmaking systems and lighting of slopes, administrative buildings, water pipes and electric cable lines, sewage and gas supply facilities, etc. 9 more facilities are under construction, and 3 facilities are in the design stage which will be finished in the end of 2015.
Until 2020 JSC NCR will continue to create facilities of engineering infrastructure and ski sites of the first stage of the tourism cluster project.
In 2014 total funds from the budget of JSC NCR allocated to funding of establishment of engineering, transport and other infrastructure facilities of SEZ amounted to RUB 4.2 billion.
In 2015 Joint-Stock Company Northern Caucasus Resorts will invest RUB 1 billion in the development of ski infrastructure of Elbrus resort (Kabardino-Balkaria), and about RUB 3.3 billion will be channelled to the development of Arkhyz (Karachay-Cherkessia). The funds are spent for laying and improvement of roads, building of ropeways and facilities of tourism infrastructure.
